Yankee Conspiracy

The Yankees had their home opener yesterday with their arch-rivals, the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim in Orange County near Disney Land California Baseball Club. It was a typical thriller, made more interesting by the fact that David Robertson was as effective as David Robinson would have been on the mound. The Angels have always been a very formidable foe and with their import of Hideki Matsui from the Bronx, they are that much tougher.

Earlier that day, the Yankees, with the help of a deranged Mets' fan (granted it's a guess that he's a fan of the Mets but that's where my money is) pulled this stunt at the Angels' hotel. Granted, I'm only speculating about the Mets part but my only other guess is that the line at the Burger Joint was intolerably long.

It's 20 minutes or so to game time today and there are no reports of trickery yet on the part of the Bronx Bombers but we're looking out for any signs.
